One thing to remember if you decide to use the audioscrobber (last.fm) plugin is that theres a bug in the plugin that you have to work round.

It make Banshee crash everytime it talks to last.fm.  It's fixed in the next version, but they were good enough to post this procedure:

Open a shell and from your home directory run:

'mkdir .gnome2/banshee/plugins'

Now that's fixed, I'm a definite Banshee convert!</description>

		<description>Ah! Awesome, I too recently moved to Ubuntu after being with Windows.  The free software ideology appeals to me greatly too, and I'm learning a lot and finding it is enhancing my appreciation of what a GUI actually does. I've been using RhythmBox for my music, but I'll take a look at Banshee if you're recommending it.</description>
