I was wandering the web looking through green sites, peak oil sites and other things and I came across a couple of quotes which I like:

I too think that our creativity is our greatest asset, it’s what makes us both the most brilliant and the most dangerous of animals.

“… the most dangerous…” Is that because of the freedom it gives us? And the accompanying responsibility–which we don’t handle too well?

Essentially yes, that’s exactly my line of thinking.
We’re happy to have the freedom, but not so happy with the responsibility, which I feel Buddhism encourages us to face positively.
