About Me
Well, what can I put here? I dislike writing these things, but I suppose I’d better make some sort of effort.
Well, I’m a guy in his mid thirties, hailing from an area of England known as “The Black Country”. I’ve been interested in the area of Religion and Spirituality for years, drifting around. I started out as an occasional Anglican, more by upbringing than anything else, though my crowd was never really religious. I’ve wandered though Atheism, Taoist philosophy and Buddhism, and recently reinvestigated Christianity. This investigation resulted in a couple of articles.
I’m currently taking an Agnostic Humanist position, heavily flavoured with the Eastern thought I’ve found so useful and rewarding. I think that some things are, at the present time, beyond our ability to make honest definitive statements on; although I do believe that we can make educated guesses as to probability in some areas.
Aside from commenting on matters of Atheism, Agnosticism, Humanism, Theism and spirit, I have an ongoing interest in Free Software and programming. You can find my software via the links above. I can also be found in the virtual world of “Second Life”, which I’m finding to be one of the more fascinating things I’ve been involved with.
If you’d like to contact me directly, send email to: “richard.barker@spamfree.quietwatercourse.co.uk”. Just remove the “spamfree.” from the address, I’m sure the various pharmaceuticals are very useful, but I’m rather not get the spam in my Inbox as well as my blog comments.

Love your new look, Richard. Looking forward to your next posts.
